Crème à la Chantal

A good friend of McGee's Inn - Chantal comes often to help at our Inn. She has also worked at other B&Bs in Ottawa.

She found this recipe that McGee's Inn uses all the time.

*   1 Cup heavy cream

*   1-1/4 C sifted confectioners sugar

*   1 pkg - 8 oz cream cheese

*   1 tbsp lemon juice

*   lemon zest

*  1 tsp vanilla

Whip the cream.

Blend cream cheese, sugar, juice, zest & vanilla with mixer.

Fold in whipped cream.

McGee's Inn uses this with their crepes but it would be good with many deserts also.

You can substitue almond extract for the lemon if you'd like.
