"What a delight it was to be with you. It was only our second experience with a BandB. Your hospitality, the furnishings, were so charming – far exceeds a hotel or motel. The Norman Rockwell collection makes me so nostalgic!" - Cliff & Marion Schiffer, New York, USA
Silver Cleaner
April 07, 2014 - Helpful Hints
One of our return guests left this recipe/hint for us.
This is the easy way to clean silver
It is better done in a dishpan
* Mix together 1/3 cup salt & 1/3 cup Calgon water softener
Place tinfoil in the bottom of the pan
Pour very hot water (can be boiling) into the pan
Sprinkle approximately 2 to 3 tbsps of mixture into the pan on the tin foil
Place silver items in the pan - touching the foil.
Let sit for a couple of minutes rotating pieces so that all the area is covered.
Rinse.
Leave longer for very tarnished items.
